President Bush recently derided as 'revisionist historians' critics who question whether the phantom Iraqi WMDs* justified our preemptive attack. I guess he ought to know something about revisionism, since his administration recently got out their blue pencils to do some revisionist science: check out the story for yourself: Report by the E.P.A. It's not surprising. To support junk politics, you need junk science. But mother nature isn't fooled by editing a few lines out of a report. You have to respect mother nature, because she doesn't give a damn about you.
*[note - not that we can be sure yet there weren't WMDs in Iraq. I heard Sen. Clinton on the radio yesterday, and she said the Clinton admin. received the same intelligence reports indicating that the Baathist regime was engaged in an active WMD development program. More about this in the next few days...]
